Owosso man dies after being hit by vehicle while riding electric bike

OWOSSO, MI – An Owosso man died late Thursday when he was hit by a vehicle while riding on an electric bike, according to the Owosso Department of Public Safety.
Officials said Dace Green, 21, suffered fatal injuries when he was hit by a vehicle around 10 p.m. Thursday, June 8.
Owosso police were called to the intersection of Gould and East Main streets following reports of the crash. When they arrived, officers determined Green was riding south on Gould Street and rode through a blinking red light when he was hit by a vehicle headed east on Main Street.
Speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash, police said.
The incident is under investigation by Owosso police and the Michigan State Police Accident Reconstruction team.
