1. FAQ2. What to expect3. Last year's best deals

Because they're usually very expensive (to say the least), Black Friday electric scooter deals are more than worth keeping an eye on. Indeed, previous sales suggest that they're your best opportunity to save on the devices. They rarely get better offers.

That's why the team and I have put together this guide on how to take advantage of Black Friday electric scooter deals. We've been covering the event for a long time now, so have built a wealth of handy tips for anyone shopping in November. That includes which retailers to keep an eye on, what constitutes a good offer, when to strike, and what models are likely to enjoy a saving based on last year's efforts.

Alongside our usual coverage of the wider Black Friday gaming deals, we'll also be outfitting this page with all of the latest offers as soon as they appear. In other words, keep this page bookmarked to stay ahead of the curve.

UK

Segway G30Max | $999.99 $649.99 at Best BuySave $350 - This is around $100 off a record low price for the Segway model, but considering how it averages closer to $680, this is a solid offer ahead of Black Friday.Buy it if:✅ You want a high-end scooter✅ You want a higher rangeDon't buy it if:❌ You're happy with cheap alternativesPrice check:💲 Amazon | $649.99💲 Walmart | $999.99 ⭐ UK price: £729 at Currys (no deal)

HiBoy S2 | $499.99 $299.99 at Best BuySave $200 - This may not be the HiBoy S2's lowest ever price, but considering how it averages $350ish most of the time, it isn't a bad discount either.Buy it if:✅ You want a decent mid-range scooter✅ You don't need to go large distancesDon't buy it if:❌ You want a higher operational rangePrice check:💲 Amazon | $399.99💲 Walmart | $399.99 ⭐ UK price: £599.99 £399.99 at HiBoy

Hovermax H85F | $599.99 $269.99 at WalmartSave $330 - I'm not tremendously familiar with the brand, but you simply can't argue with that kind of discount. It's not ever Black Friday yet, and that's what I'd expect from the November sales.Buy it if:✅ You want a mid-range scooter✅ A 19-mile range sounds about rightDon't buy it if:❌ You want a more familiar brandPrice check:💲 Amazon | OOS💲 Walmart | OOS⭐ UK price: Unavailable

Unlike an event such as Prime Day, it's easy to pinpoint when Black Friday will take place; it always occurs after Thanksgiving and on the final Friday of November. That means we can expect 2024's Black Friday electric scooter deals to happen on November 29.

Don't assume you'll only have 24 hours to take advantage of those reductions, though. Black Friday seems to start earlier every year, and it's common for discounts to appear up to two weeks beforehand. They'll roll into early December as well, at which point they become Cyber Monday savings.

Wondering where you should be looking when Black Friday rolls around? These are the retailers I default to, and they're the ones we'll be watching closest when the event kicks off.US- Amazon: Regular discounts and speedy shipping- Best Buy: Best for Segway and Hover brands- Home Depot: Grab additional batteries at the same time- Lowes: Great for premium models and extra accessories- Newegg: Regular flash sales on budget brands- Walmart: Best for cheaper models and hoverboardsUK: - Amazon: Frequent sales on smaller brands, Razor, and more- Currys: Best for Xiaomi and Segway- Halfords: Best for mid-range models and all the gear- John Lewis: Best for premium models and extra batteries- Pure Electric: Range of models and price points- Very: Massive selection and regular discounts

There are plenty of wheels on the market now, and with extra competition comes some particularly low prices in the Holiday sales as everyone tries to one-up each other. That was certainly the case last year, so we're expecting great things in 2024.

No matter what your requirements are (be it mileage, battery life, max weight, portability, or something else), there is bound to be something for you in the November sale. We say this from experience; in 2023, premium models, cheap scooters, and everything in between enjoyed a reduction. The already-affordable iScooter i9 hit its lowest ever price by $25 or so, for example, while premium models including the Niu KQi3 Max reached a record low as well.

The Niu KQi3 Max is arguably one of the better electric scooters on the market right now

These offers were available from retailers like Amazon to manufacturers' own stores, so we anticipate the same being true in 2024. And while Best Buy and the rest are unmatched in terms of variety, those manufacturers normally have them beat in terms of sheer value. They usually provide the most enticing price cuts, so if there's a particular brand you prefer (Segway, for instance), watch out for the official site.

As for what you should keep a particular eye out for, a premium model by the same company we mentioned earlier (Niu) called the KQi3 Pro is arguably one of the better electric scooters on the market right now. Because it got a modest but eye-catching reduction last year, we've got our fingers crossed for a bigger one in 2024.

Choosing the right model for you is going to be essential in finding the best Black Friday electric scooter deals. You can spend some serious cash on these rollers, but if you're spending above your needs that's going to be wasted. Similarly, splashing too little can see you lumped with a set of wheels that can't hack your routine. The two main factors you should consider first are max speed and max range. A scooter battery can only take you so far, after all.

In general, the majority of scooters under $300 / £300 can max out at around 15mph for 10 miles, boosting up to $500 / £500 will extend things to up to 20 miles while keeping a similar speed, and premium models reaching past this point will generally hit 20mph speeds for between 20 and 26 miles.

Consider your route too - speed is one thing but acceleration and hill-climbing is another

You will also need to check the weight limit of your chosen scooter. Generally, most rides can take between 200lb and 300lb of weight, but there are options over that scale as well. It's important to factor backpacks into this equation as well.

Consider your route too - speed is one thing but acceleration and hill-climbing is another. The majority of cheaper electric scooters will only come packed with a 250W motor, which likely won't see you up the steepest of inclines. If you're going to be powering up hills, we'd recommend looking at models with 300W of power or more. Similarly, a bumpy road may be your nemesis if you don't take a look at your tyres. Pneumatic wheels are falling down the price scale quickly these days, offering a smoother ride for far less cash than we were seeing just last year. Rubber tyres are even cheaper still, but you will need feel those potholes all the more.

Hiboy S2 Max | $899.99 $499.99 at AmazonSave $400 - Thanks to an extra $100-off voucher, this scooter came tumbling down to its lowest ever price. Amazon quite likes to add these check-box coupons under the price of items during sale season, so always check before adding the item to your basket.

Segway Ninebot KickScooter MAX | $749.99 $489.99 at AmazonSave $260 - This was a huge saving on one of the best Segway scooters available. From as far as we could tell too, it was almost the lowest it'd ever been. Back in August 2023, Amazon lowered it to $469, but given this is pretty close, it felt like a no brainer.

Niu KQi3 Pro | $799 $559 at Best BuySave $240 - OK, now thatwas just ridiculous. You could get an absurd amount of money of the new KQi3 model in the Black Friday electric scooter deals over at Best Buy, and that was the cheapest it's ever been. A bargain, in other words.

Niu KQi3 Max | $999.99 $749 at NiuSave $240 - This was the premium scooter's lowest ever price so far as we could tell, so if you wanted one that could go further and faster than a lot of the competition, you'd be well served by the KQi3 Max. It's a great example of why watching out for a manufacturer's store is wise, too.

Unagi E350 | $940 $299 at UnagiSave $641 - To be perfectly honest, that was a ridiculous discount to kick off last year's Black Friday electric scooter deals. It demonstrates why you should be on the ball before the 'official' Black Friday deals start, too.

Segway F30 | $649.99 $399.99 at Best BuySave $250 - Although it'd been bobbing up and down in price over the months leading up to Black Friday, that wasn't a bad offer at all on an excellent mid-range scooter.

Niu KQi2 Pro | $599 $389 at AmazonSave $210 - Another lowest-ever price emerged last year, this time on the more premium Niu KQi2 Pro. Although it'd since been superseded by the KQi3, this was a still a high-quality premium model in its own right and showed why it paid off not to always go with the newest version.

Segway D40X | $849.99 $499.99 at Best BuySave $350 - That was an aggressively good discount for the Best Buy-exclusive scooter - which is why you wouldn't find it at retailers like Amazon or Walmart. This is why it's always sensible to keep your options open in terms of stores, and not stick with just one.

Inokim Ox | $1,599 $999 at Best BuySave $600 - That was a ludicrous saving on one of the more premium electric scooters out there, so was an immediate highlight of the Black Friday sale.

Segway Max G2 | $1,299.99 $899.99 at Best BuySave $400 - That wasn't too far off this premium model's lowest ever price (it once hit $869 or so). That made this a great offer ahead of the Black Friday electric scooter deals, and proved that high-end sets don't have to be so out of reach.

Niu KQi2 Pro | £499 £339 at NiuSave £90 - Another lowest-ever price emerged last year, this time on the more premium Niu KQi2 Pro. Although it'd since been superseded by the KQi3, this was a still a high-quality premium model in its own right and showed why you don't need to limit yourself to the newest version.

Pure Advance+ | £799 £599 at Pure ElectricSave £200 - We'd done a little digging into this scooter's price history, and it didn't seem to go below £799... as in, ever. With that in mind, this was a superb offer and was a case in point for why you shouldn't ignore manufacturer stores.

Segway F25 II | £419 £299 at CurrysSave £120 - And there we go, another record low price ahead of last year's Black Friday electric scooter deals. We'd never seen this one for less.

Pure Air3 Pro | £549 £449 at CurrysSave £100 - This might just have been the Air3 Pro's lowest ever price, so last year's Black Friday electric scooter deals was already off to the races before it'd truly begun. This is why you should start checking for discounts nice and early.

Pure Advance Flex | £1,099 £799 at CurrysSave £300 - It doesn't seem as if we'd ever seen the Flex (a new 2023 model) for less, so that was one heck of a way to kick off last year's Black Friday deals.
