Ross Township house fire on Pinecrest Drive

Sources on scene of a house fire in Ross Township say that an electric bike charging inside the garage is the likely cause.

They say it was plugged into an incompatible charger, caught fire and caught a vehicle on fire.Sky 4 over the scene saw firefighters cutting through the roof of the home in the 200 block of Pinecrest Drive Wednesday. Dozens of crews from throughout the area responded to put out the fire.

After the fire was out, the investigation focused on the garage, where a burned bike can be seen inside.

Representatives from the Red Cross, as well as the fire marshal, were on scene, but neither would release information on whether the family who lives there is being assisted or on the official cause of the fire.

No injuries were reported from this fire.
